5 Things to Consider When Choosing Your Wedding Venue

Selecting the right venue is key to creating the wedding day you’ve always dreamed of. Here are five important things to keep in mind:

1. Guest Count: Make sure your venue can comfortably fit your guest list without feeling too cramped or too empty. I’ve seen weddings where the venue felt perfect because it was just the right size for the celebration.

2. Style & Ambiance: Does the venue reflect your vision for the wedding? Whether you prefer a classic ballroom or a rustic barn, the space should match your wedding aesthetic and create the right atmosphere.

3. Location: Consider how easy it will be for your guests and vendors to get to the venue. Is parking convenient? Are there nearby accommodations for out-of-town guests?

4. Weather Contingency: For outdoor weddings, always have a solid plan in place in case of bad weather. When I officiate outdoor ceremonies, I always check in advance to make sure there’s a backup option ready to go.

5. Venue Policies: Be aware of any restrictions or guidelines the venue may have regarding décor, timing, or vendors. I’ll work with your venue to make sure everything goes off without a hitch.

Your wedding venue sets the tone for the entire event, so choose a space that feels right for your style, guest count, and logistical needs!
